Under the motto “Full speed ahead – thinking ahead to the future. Living responsibly.”, experts discussed what constitutes responsible business today in Düsseldorf on 12 and 13 October. It became clear that the decisive factor is how we shape the transformation.

Unter the title “Graz Peace Dialogues – Sustaining Peace in a Changing International Environment“ it is all about peace in Graz on 16. + 17. November. The Graz Peace Dialogues bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from across Europe to discuss the future of international peace in a world increasingly shaped by power politics.

The kick-off event of the NIBRA Future Talks on September 29th, 2026 in the Vienna Grand Gallery was dedicated to the topic of “Green Building in Residential Construction: New Construction, Refurbishment, Affordability and Operation in Interaction”. Initiator Nikolaus Brada summed up the claim of the format as follows: “To bring people together, to have conversations, to exchange experiences and to look to the future together.”

Die Auftaktveranstaltung der NIBRA Zukunftsgespräche widmete sich am 29. September 2026 in der Vienna Grand Gallery dem Thema „Green Building im Wohnbau: Neubau, Sanierung, Leistbarkeit und Betrieb im Zusammenspiel“. Gastgeber Nikolaus Brada holte hochkarätige Podiumsgäste auf die Bühne. Sein Credo: „Die Zukunft des Bauens liegt im ganzheitlichen Denken: Wenn Planung, Bau und Betrieb als Einheit verstanden werden, entstehen Gebäude, die wirtschaftlich überzeugen, nachhaltig wirken und langfristig zuverlässig funktionieren.“

The AI for Good Global Summit, for the first time held back-to-back with the new UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance, sent a clear signal: the question is no longer whether AI will transform our societies, but how we shape that transformation responsibly.

On June 29, the focus of the event of the Club of Rome, Austrian Chapter, was on “Planetary Peace for Human Security”. Carlos Álvarez Pereira, Secretary General of the Club of Rome, presented the strategic action plan for “Global Equity for a Peaceful and Healthy Planet 2025-2028”. Paul Shrivastava, co-president of the Club of Rome, called for a new conception of peace: “from peace to planetary peace”.

On June 19, the 5th Women Excellence Circle, organised by our advisory board member and media woman Mag. Doris Schulz, took place at Lake Attersee. This year’s under the motto: Value. Self-worth. Precious. Inspiring key notes in a historic ambiance made this day at Lake Attersee once again a great event with 40 wonderful women. The focus is on learning from each other, exchanging ideas, supporting each other and developing new visions together.

Numerous authors have worked on the reference work on SDG 8 at Springer Verlag, and on May 28, 2026, we will present it together with Christa Kainz and co-editor Andrea Sihn-Weber as well as our cooperation partners Nibra and Social City Wien at the Vienna Grand Gallery.
