The ISBSC (International Sustainable Business Student Club) is an international learning community for students rooting for socio-ecological transformation. The ISBSC aims to promote communication and knowledge exchange. A place for students who want to have a positive impact on the business world and help shape a more sustainable future. To facilitate exchange across regions, students from Austrian universities and Universities of Applied Sciences are cordially invited to join the ISBSC.

At ISBSC, we look towards the future through the lens of present-day action. We are networking for a new generation of sustainability motivated professionals!

Students, experts, leaders, professionals and changemakers – We are all in this together. That is why the ISBSC and CSR Dialogforum work to connect you with those who were previously out of reach.

Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange.

We all have something to share. The ISBSC provides a safe environment that fosters life-long learning, international perspectives and collaboration amongst students. Discussions on first hand experiences, your life journey and puzzles about our shared future – all of it has a place here.

Community.

When it feels like the weight of the world rests on your shoulders, the best thing you can do is share it with a community that cares. ISBSC brings students together to support one another, build lasting friendships, and create positive change. We intend to make friends while making a difference.

Organisation

All ISBSC Events are hosted entirely in English language. However, we do promote German-speaking events. In 2024, the ISBSC was created in collaboration with Mag. Stefan Blachfellner and students from UAS Burgenland. The ISBSC is chaired by Representatives that outwardly represent and supervise Club Activities. We value our grassroot structure and encourage members to bring forward ideas as well as take responsibility for organising (with our support of course).

Our topics include, but are not limited to: Circular Economy, Sustainable Finance, Environmental Responsibility, Transformation and International Developments.

ISBSC Activities

To reach a more collaborative and sustainable future, ISBSC brings people together for all kinds of events: From academic to project based and informal get-togethers – we aim to provide a wholesome atmosphere where all people feel welcome!

  • Workshops and Excursions

What happens behind the scenes of transformative decisions? And why do some companies create real impact while others only talk about it? By joining our workshops and excursions, you can gain a deeper understanding of the world of sustainability and which challenges, trade-offs and innovations shape meaningful change.

  • Lunchtalkswith Experts

We all feel the cliffing pit in intergenerational interaction. With our Lunchtalk format we aim to bridge that gap and connect students with experienced practitioners and scientists. Professionals are urged to share real experiences and empower students to act.

  • Diskussion Groups

Pick a topic and chat! – Exchange and deepen knowledge through conversation. Our discussion groups are moderated by one member who steers conversations and makes sure all voices are heard. Implementations can be circular, online or in form of a panel set-up.

  • Socialising

Take a sip of your hot chocolate at Vienna’s Christmas markets and feel the warmth spreading in your chest when dancing around with your peers. Lounging around, going on hikes or swimming in the lakes of Austria. Through socialising we want to strengthen the bond between our members and have some fun along the way.
