Peace Action 2026: silent Human Chain for Peace on September 21st, 2026 in Vienna!<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The topic of peace will continue to be an essential one in 2026. Therefore, we are already working intensively on another silent human chain for peace<\/strong>, again on September 21<\/strong>, the World Day of Peace. Talks with cooperation partners have been underway since autumn 2025. We are very pleased that we have found a great cooperation partner this year in the Jane Goodall Institute Austria<\/strong>. As part of the Roots & Shoots program, children in numerous partner schools of the organization make doves of peace, which they will then hand over to the participants of the silent human chain for peace in Vienna. A lasting memory of a beautiful event under the sign of the peace that people around the world want. <\/p>\n

This initiative is once again intended to bring together people from all generations and areas of society to set a sign of peace. Because there is no (sustainable) future without peace!<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Together with the Swiss foundation ISCTH, initiator of the #IamPeace initiative, and numerous other organizations, we are setting an example and participating in the #IamPeace Human Chains 2025. With two large silent human chains, a powerful symbol of cohesion and understanding was sent out into the world. Main rehearsal on May 10, 2025: A first human chain along the Prater Hauptallee. It served as a prelude and test run for the main event and made the initiative visible to the public. Click here<\/a> for the video review. <\/p>\n

World record attempt on 21 September 2025 (International Day of Peace) <\/strong>
\nHundreds of people joined hand in hand again in a silent human chain, this time at Vienna’s Heldenplatz (next to the equestrian monument in the direction of Volksgarten). A symbolic action that attracted widespread attention and focused on Vienna as a city of peace. Together with numerous partner organisations, we mobilised all those for whom peace is also a matter close to their hearts.
